Duration and buffers
Duration is the appointment time. Buffers before and after also occupy the resource and prevent overlapping appointments.
Capacity and units
Capacity is the number of people in one session. Units represent interchangeable physical resources: a professional usually has one; three identical pieces of equipment can have three.
Business or resource hours
A service or resource can inherit business hours or use its own schedule. The appointment must fit all required resources' compatible hours.
Exceptions
An exception replaces regular hours for that date. Close a day or define special time ranges. Closing or deactivating a resource does not automatically cancel existing appointments.
Time zone
Fixit uses the business's IANA time zone and stores bookings as concrete instants. Availability accounts for daylight-saving transitions.
